What an outstanding day for the students above who are members of the Welsh Academy of Martial    Arts/YMCA Kickboxing Club, when they attended a local tournament in Cardiff.

First to fight on the mats in semi-contact was Ryan Newman a champion in the making taking 1st place after a number of rounds. Ryan also fought full contact in the ring again taking 1st place.

Next up was Lewis Cummings in his very first tournament.  Lewis has extraordinary technical ability and proved to be one of the best on the day taking 2nd place.

Third up was Jamie Cummings in her very first tournament.  Jamie again has excellent technical ability, but lost her bout by only 1 point.

Next  up was young Kyron Caddick, fighting in the ring twice in full contact again a future champion taking two first 1st places.  Kyron also fought in the points section storming into 1st place.  Three 1st Places for Kyron on the day.

Last to fight was young Thomas Harris, taking 2nd place losing by 1 point. A nailbiting final with just 1 point being scored right through the round. What a fight!

These youngsters are showing great potential in becoming future martial art champions.
